Early 18th Century Welsh Oak Dresser

Superb Oak Dresser from North Wales, circa 1730. Wonderful colour and patina

Base has cupboard space throughout, providing a large amount of storage. With lovely shaped ogee panels to cupboard doors and fixed central panel. This is an early model, before drawers were added.

Rack is also of unusual construction. See below for a closer view of the fretted fascia board.

Welsh Oak Dresser Base with Separate Plate Rack

Base is a wonderful rich warm brown colour, and a lovely size. 56 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 35.75 inches high

Recessed centre panel dated 1727 and initialled OIAW

Spoon rack, drop turned finials, wavy side splats, and part turned front pilasters to upper section

Drop turned finials below bog oak and holly inlaid frieze in middle section
