The Adams
Antiques Newsletter
September
2003
This is the
first of what we hope will be a quarterly
newsletter to tell our clients and friends
what is going on in our world of Oak Country
furniture and the progress on Churche’s
Mansion.
The big news
first, in June we attended the BACA awards at
the Dorchester in London to be
presented by Eric Knowles with the Best
Specialist Dealer Award. We are very proud of
this award and hope that it helps to give the
public confidence when dealing with us.
We have
launched the Adams Sale on Commission Scheme
to help our clients sell items of furniture
that may now be surplus to their requirements.
We feel that this is a very good scheme and
certainly a much better option than using a
sale room. Details are included with this
newsletter.
Country
furniture is gaining in popularity again and
certainly has beaten the economic climate.
This could be due to a number of new country
type houses being built and also interior
designers seem to be using more country
furniture. The lovely live feel of country Oak
may also have something to do with it.
Neil has been
busy replacing decayed plaster on the front of
the Mansion ready for the winter months ahead,
other than that it is in splendid order, and
more and more people are visiting us to see
our stock in the super setting that the
mansion gives us.
Gift vouchers
are becoming quite popular, and a nice way to
give a discerning friend a really nice gift
that they can add to. We can supply gift
vouchers for any amount so for that special
person who has everything this could be the
answer.
Fairs coming up
are Harrogate from Friday 26th September to Tuesday the 30th,
Olympia
in November. We will be sending invites out
but please call to make sure you get one. |
